Dear U,
I was on a small motorboat in the Mekong Delta when I took this photo of a fisherman casting his net. It’s a very simple photo but I think it captures the essence of the life of the people living in those floating houses. I was told that their lives depend on the river, they move according to the water level, and fishing constitute their main livelihood. It this day and age where we crave for stability and constant, it’s hard to imagine such transitional life.
Wish you were here,
Noel
